About the author

Patricia Velasco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Queens College and Coordinator of the Bilingual Education Program. Christine Hélot is a Professor of English and a teacher educator at the University of Strasbourg in France. She is the coordinator of a research programme on plurilingualism, intercultural education, and language learning.
